Visiting the kits

Dreamheart walked over to the Nursery, wondering if two certain kits were old enough to be Apprentices yet. She padded inside. "Moonkit, Sunkit?"

"Hiya!" Sunkit said, bursting right in on Dreamheart's face. Moonkit rolled her eyes.

Dreamheart laughed and rolled on her side. She lightly pushed Sunkit off her. "How old are you now?"

"Hmmm...." Sunkit wondered.
"6 moons," Moonkit said.

OOC: Does SlayerClan have meddies??? Can Moon be one??

OOC: I have to control a meddie, so yeah! 'course!

IC: "You should've said when you were 5 moons. Come on, let's go see if someone will mentor you." Dreamheart said getting up. SlayerClan didn't have big ceremonies, but they did announce the apprenticing.

"We getta be apprentices?!" Sunkit squealed.
"We're six moons, duh," Moonkit ended his excitement.

"It's usually five moons for us, but we've been known to be late on it." Dreamheart said. She looked around. "Hey, you!" she called at her Deputy, a tan tom. "Finish patrols and bring Petalnose over here too!" Dreamheart sighed. "They're the best Warriors we have, but have never taken an apprentice."

Moonkit spoke up, "I know this is short notice but... Can I be a Medicine Cat?"

"Sure! And since those lazy bums are still talking, Sunkit can be my apprentice if he'd like." Dreamheart walked into the Medicine Cat's den. "Hey Scarnose, ready for an apprentice?" The she-cat walked up to them. "I've been ready."

"R--re-rea--r-r-r- ealllyyy!!!!!!" Sunkit said excited. "I getta be your Apprentic???!!!!!"

"Yeah." Dreamheart said. "You want to be my apprentice?"

Scarnose padded up to Moonkit. "Hm...I remember now. Moonkit! I left your mother after letting her name you guys. So, you want to be a Medicine Cat?"

"Yes. I really do." Moonkit said.
Sunkit was vvery excited.

"Okay then. After the announcement, get something to eat and then meet me back here to start training."

Dreamheart smiled. "Let's go make the announcement. Then I'll show you the territory, after you eat if you haven't already."

"Okay." Moonkit said. Sunkit said, "What about me, Dreamheart?"

OOC: i said stuffs to you XD

IC: Dreamheart padded up to the Trashbin and jumped on top. "Everyone gather here for a Clan meeting!" she yowled. When all the cats had gathered, she sat down. "First off, we're doing very good on prey this leaf-bare. Keep it up! And next, we have two new Apprentices! Sunkit and Moonkit, by the powers of StarClan I now name you Sunpaw and Moonpaw."

Sunpaw swelled with pride, and Moonpaw looked down at her feet, shyly.

"Sunpaw! Moonpaw! Sunpaw! Moonpaw!" The cats chanted in excitement. There weren't any new Apprentices in a while, and Scarnose and Dreamheart joined in as Dreamheart leaped down.

Sunpaw said, "I am so excited!" to Moonpaw.

Dreamheart padded up to the Apprentices as the cats dispersed. "Well, go eat and we can start training." Scarnose nodded in agreement.

"OKay!" Sunpaw said padding off. Moonpaw followed a bit slower, but she was excited all the same.

Dreamheart smiled. "You're getting a good Apprentice. She's calm, smart, and a thinker." Scarnose nodded. "So are you. You know, he's a lot like you. You're both active, fun-loving, and ready for action. And you're leader. No doubt he'll be your Deputy someday, or more." Dreamheart tilted her head. "Or more?" Oh, right. Leader. We're based on who's stronger. Maybe he'll beat me someday. I can't win forever.

Sunpaw and Moonpaw were play fighting near the fresh-kill pile.

The mentors sighed and watched them. "I have a feeling their training will be faster than expected. They look like they've been watching the Warriors already."

Moonpaw grabbed a raven and started to eat. Sunpaw ate a sparrow.
"Hey!" Sunpaw said excitedly.
"What?" Moonpaw asked.
"When I am a Warrior, I wanna be named Sunsparrow. Cause' of my first meal when I am an Apprentice."
"And I'd like to be Moonraven." Moonpaw said thoughtfully.

Dreamheart flicked her ear. "Hey Scarnose, let's name them that." she whispered softly. "Hm?" she whispered. "Sunsparrow and Moonraven." Scarnose smiled. "Good idea."
